Peer Review Policy

The practice of peer review is exercised to ensure that only quality content is published. It is carried out by almost all reputable scientific journals. Every manuscript received goes through the procedure explained below.

Initial Manuscript Evaluation

The Editor first evaluates all manuscripts. None of the papers are accepted at this stage. Manuscripts rejected at this stage may lack originality, have serious scientific shortcomings or do not lie in the scope of the journal. If the paper meets all the requirements, the editor then passes it to usually 3 but at least 2 experts for review.

Type Of Peer Review

Our policy follows both single-blind reviewing method where the Reviewers are aware of the identity of the authors, but authors are unaware of the identity of reviewers.

Selection Of Referee

Referees are selected for the paper according to their expertise and our reviewer board has a wide range of experts on it. Rarely, when we are unable to find a second expert for the paper, we request the author to suggest the second referee.

Referee’s Reports

Referees are asked to evaluate whether the manuscript: –

  • Is original and methodologically sound
  • Follows appropriate ethical guidelines
  • Has results which are clearly presented and support the conclusions
  • Correctly references previous relevant work

Statement on Ethics & Publication Malpractice Statement

ATSK Publishers are dedicated to following best practices on ethical matters, errors, and retractions. The prevention of publication malpractice is one of the important responsibilities of the editorial board. Any kind of unethical behavior is not acceptable, and the Editorial Board of this journal does not tolerate plagiarism in any form. Authors submitting articles to the Journal of International Students affirm that manuscript contents are original.

Editors evaluate submitted manuscripts exclusively on the basis of their academic merit (importance, originality, study’s validity, clarity) and its relevance to the journal’s scope, without regard to the authors’ race, gender, sexual orientation, ethnic origin, citizenship, religious belief, political philosophy or institutional affiliation. Decisions to edit and publish are not determined by the policies of governments or any other agencies outside of the journal itself. The Editor-in-Chief has full authority over the entire editorial content of the journal and the timing of publication of that content.
